About the role:
The Account Manager will be responsible for retaining an existing customer base by fostering the USP value certification and earning return on investment, as well as actively researching and suggesting new applications. This position is primarily focused on the profitable growth and maintenance of an account base by determining and meeting customer needs.
Qualified applicants must have knowledge and understanding of water treatment including feeding chemical and taking measurements, troubleshooting, and explaining to customers what is needed to fix a problem, improve a system, or provide a reduction in total cost of ownership.
Territory: State of Missouri
Travel: Account Managers typically spend 2-3 days per week visiting customers within the territory. Occasional overnight stays may be required. Overall travel is estimated at approximately 40-50%.
In this role you will:
Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers to drive customer retention and long-term partnerships.
Oversee contract requirements, renewals, extensions, negotiations, and pricing adjustments while ensuring compliance and resolving conflicts effectively.
Lead and align cross-functional teams to meet program objectives, driving results through collaboration and influence.
Identify and develop growth opportunities within existing accounts to support revenue expansion and territory goals.
Monitor account performance and profitability, managing expenses and pricing strategies to achieve financial targets.
Communicate value propositions clearly and present business performance updates and proposals to customers and internal stakeholders.
The essential requirements of the job include:
Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related technical field (preferred).
2-5 years of experience in municipal water/wastewater treatment and chemical technology applications.
Solid industry knowledge of water and wastewater treatment processes, with hands-on experience in sampling, laboratory work, and chemical dosing systems considered a strong asset.
Demonstrated ability to grow and retain accounts, with a proven track record of generating sales revenue.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a cross-functional, team-selling environment while maintaining high integrity and professional maturity.

The below range reflects the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future. An associate's position within the salary range will be based on several factors, including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs.
The compensation range for this role is $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 USD per year. This job is also eligible for Bonus / Incentive Pay.
