Job Description
The Iowa Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), Division of State-Operated Specialty Care, Bureau of Civil Commitment Unit for Sex Offenders (CCUSO) is seeking anAdministrator of Nursing to join our team!
This position is responsible for planning, organizing, and overseeing the CCUSO nursing program and features a Monday - Friday, 7:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. schedule with required on-call and flexibility with hours as needed. The Administrator of Nursing will ensure high-quality patient care and regulatory compliance by providing leadership and guidance to interdisciplinary teams and fostering collaboration across disciplines while maintaining appropriate staffing levels to support operational efficiency and continuity of care.
Applicants will be required to complete a background check to be considered for this position.
CCUSO provides a secure, long-term, and highly structured setting to treat sexual offenders who have served their prison terms, but, in a separate civil trial, have been found likely to reoffend. The facility provides state-of-the-art treatment to patients to lower their risk of re-offending and to release them from confinement as quickly as possible. There is a full range of diagnostic, treatment, and rehabilitative services focused on addressing the conditions impacting a patient's likelihood of re-offending. Minimum Qualification Requirements
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree in Nursing and experience equal to four years of full-time supervisory/management nursing experience
OR
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Master's degree in Nursing and experience equal to two years of full-time progressive nursing supervisory/management experience
OR
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Doctorate degree in Nursing
OR
An equivalent combination of the required education and experience, substituting one year of full-time experience for thirty semester hours or equivalent of education; no substitution for four years of full-time supervisory/management experience.
