Hiring for an Administrative Assistant in Wallingford!

Job Description

A well-established organization is seeking an experienced Administrative Assistant to support warehouse operations during a temporary leave coverage. This role is ideal for a candidate with prior administrative experience in a warehouse or distribution center environment, strong Excel skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting. The Administrative Assistant will partner closely with warehouse leadership to ensure smooth daily operations, accurate data entry, and timely order processing.

Responsibilities

Utilize the warehouse management system (P-2) and Excel to support daily operations.

Perform data entry, including processing paperwork and posting orders prior to end of day.

Assist with inventory counts, including cycle and spot counts.

Open and close order windows and support order system shutdowns as needed.

Support customer feedback issues and assist with order-related inquiries.

Maintain accurate records with strong attention to detail.

Coordinate closely with warehouse managers and supervisors to support operational needs.

Manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven warehouse environment.

Essential Skills

Prior experience as an Administrative Assistant in a warehouse or distribution center environment.

Strong Excel skills and experience working with warehouse management systems.

Background in data entry, customer support, and administrative functions.

Highly organized with strong attention to detail.

Ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced setting.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience in food-related environments is a plus, but not required.

Work Environment

The role is based in an office/warehouse setting with a welcoming and inclusive culture. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, with 8-hour days starting at 6:00 AM and ending at 4:00 PM, offering flexibility based on operational demands. Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Wallingford, CT.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $26.00/hr.

Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
