Job Description Summary
GE Aerospace's Product Validation (PV) Team is a cross-functional engineering organization that provides key expertise and resources across all aspects of test planning and execution, from ideation through verification and validation. Key teams and disciplines include Evaluation Engineering, Test Enabling Hardware, Test Facilities, Instrumentation, Flight Test Operations and Data Systems. These teams represent a growing global footprint with a wide array of world-class testing facilities. The PV team owns and drives testing efforts ranging from technology maturation component- and rig/module-level testing through full-scale certification and qualification testing for Product Validation.
The Flight Test Operation Project Manager is a programmatic and analytical leader with strong project management awareness, working closely with Engineering, Flightline, Sourcing and Operations teams within PV and extending to outside organizations. The role focuses on operationalizing the planning and execution of these activities across the FTO Team spreading into the PV enterprise, with an emphasis on schedules, resources, and demand visibility.
This role will specifically focus on creating projects from the ground up in conjunction with all programs at FTO. You will be responsible for coaching and training other team members on how to build out a project plan, follow the plan and execute to the needs of the business. This role will report directly to the plant leader. Role also requires a high level of autonomy and decision making in the best interest of FTO and PV.

Roles and Responsibilities
Provide programmatic planning and coordination throughout the planning and execution of project readiness, with a strong focus on schedules, resources, and execution rigor.
Consolidate and validate project metrics and KPIs such as Schedule Performance Index (SPI), Cost Performance Index (CPI), On-Time Delivery (OTD), Estimate at Completion (EAC), and related indicators; provide input to project operating and financial cadence.
Establish cross-program Strategic Workforce Plans (SWP) for FTO testing efforts and support hiring or redeployment of personnel to maintain and grow capability as required.
Champion the development of standard work to drive consistency in programmatic planning and resourcing of activities, from early scoping of schedule and resources through daily management of projects as required.
Contribute to FTO capability improvement proposals and roadmaps aligned with program and business strategic objectives, including resourcing and schedule implications.
Determine specific expertise and capabilities needed to execute test requirements and coordinate resources and schedules across sites and teams to meet those requirements.
Provide forward-looking strategy and analytics for product validation and technology development, enabling PV to maintain a competitive advantage in schedule, cost, and capability.
Develop and manage program schedules and baselines that integrate test plans, resource availability, and budget constraints to meet business objectives.
Use a high level of judgment to make decisions and handle complex tasks or problems in areas such as operations, product management, manufacturing, technology, or engineering. Assess the quality of information provided, ask pertinent questions from stakeholders, and construct well-founded recommendations. Use multiple internal and external sources, beyond the immediate function, to inform decisions.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college,OR significant work experience in an aerospace environment relevant to the job description.
Minimum of 5 years of project management experience.
This role could require the successful candidate to maintain a US Government Security Clearance; prerequisite for a security clearance is U.S. Citizenship. Preference will be given to candidates who currently hold US Government Security Clearance
Ability to travel out of state a minimum of 15% annually.
Desired Characteristics
Master's degree from an accredited college or university.
Experience executing testing across multiple sites within the GE testing network, including Evendale, Peebles, Winnipeg, and Victorville.
Demonstrated ability to lead, influence, and collaborate across a matrixed organization, particularly in planning, scheduling, and resource coordination.
Exposure to aviation engine design, testing, or certification requirements.
Experience with GE Tollgate and Military Qualification processes.
Demonstrated experience with Earned Value Management (EVM) and associated schedule and cost performance metrics.
Strong oral and written communication skills, including the ability to present complex plans and data in a clear, concise manner.
Strong interpersonal, analytical, and leadership skills, with a bias for structured planning, problem solving, and continuous improvement.
