Position Summary

A leading transportation and mobility organization is seeking a Business Development and Operations Manager to support the launch and expansion of transportation services in Puerto Rico.

This role will be responsible for developing strategic partnerships, coordinating operational readiness, and supporting the successful rollout of services across the island. The position requires a proactive professional with an entrepreneurial mindset who thrives in fast-paced environments and is skilled at building strong relationships with transportation operators, government agencies, and infrastructure partners.

Puerto Rico BD & Ops

Key Responsibilities

Business Development & Strategic Partnerships

Identify, evaluate, and establish partnerships with intercity bus operators and other transportation stakeholders.

Develop long-term relationships with partners to support market entry and network expansion.

Support the launch and growth of transportation services in Puerto Rico.

Operations Management

Oversee operational readiness for service launch and expansion.

Coordinate with partners to ensure reliable and high-quality service delivery.

Monitor operational processes to ensure efficiency and performance standards.

Station & Infrastructure Coordination

Secure access to transportation terminals, stations, and operational facilities required for service launch.

Build relationships with public and private station operators.

Support infrastructure development necessary for service expansion.

Market Analysis & Strategy

Conduct market and competitive analysis within the transportation and mobility sector.

Identify trends, opportunities, and potential risks impacting business operations.

Provide strategic insights to support decision-making and growth initiatives.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Collaborate with internal teams including:

Network Planning

Operations

Finance

Legal

Marketing

Public Affairs

Ensure alignment and effective execution of strategic initiatives.

Performance Monitoring

Track partner performance and operational metrics.

Utilize data-driven insights to recommend improvements.

Support initiatives to optimize network performance and profitability.

External Representation

Represent the organization in meetings with government agencies, transportation partners, and local stakeholders.

Participate in industry events and conferences.

Strengthen relationships that support long-term operational success in Puerto Rico.Puerto Rico BD & Ops

Qualifications

Experience

5-7 years of experience in:

Business Development

Operations

Strategy

Transportation, logistics, mobility, or related industries (preferred).

Skills & Competencies

Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities.

Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills.

Ability to collaborate across multiple departments and teams.

Strong organizational and project management capabilities.

Additional Requirements

Fluent in Spanish and English .

Ability to work in fast-paced and evolving environments.

Entrepreneurial mindset with strong initiative.

Knowledge of Puerto Rico's transportation industry or regulatory environment is a plus.

Pay Details: $65,000.00 per year
