Job Duties

Supports Regional Health Care Administrator in managing the regional health care delivery system for the Virginia Department of Corrections

Participates in all applicable regional meetings, assists in hiring healthcare staff, monitoring contracts, approving contracts and equipment orders, and coordinating all other regional health staff

Minimum Qualifications

Knowledge of health care programs and its integration into the strategic mission.

Knowledge of program and evaluation design

Demonstrated ability to administratively and clinically manage staff, services, and resources in an organization

Ability to aggregate issues into solutions and to formulate policy and procedure

Ability to plan and direct services, provide consultation and direction across a range of disciplines, and communicate effectively both orally and in writing

Ability to complete the Virginia Ethics Council Conflict of Interest (COI) filing within two (2) business days of hire and annually thereafter, in accordance with the Code of Virginia 2.2-3100. Ability to complete COI training within two (2) months of hire and every other year thereafter, as required by Code of Virginia 2.2-3132.
