Job Summary
The Sr. Indirect Procurement Supply Chain Buyer will focus on supply chain spend categories across all of the Post Holdings, Inc. (PHI) operating companies (Bob Evans Farms, Crystal Farms, Michael Foods, and Post Consumer Brands). They will perform market analyses as well as develop, execute, and manage ongoing sourcing strategies related to the procurement of supply chain goods and services in the following primary categories: warehousing, pallets, spotting services, rolling stock, tractor and trailer purchases, rental trailers, warehousing supplies, and more. They will be responsible for strategic sourcing, competitive bidding, contract negotiation, and business continuity planning for all indirect spend under their oversight. The Sr. Indirect Procurement Supply Chain Buyer will work to develop and implement a strategy to ensure that our suppliers can deliver high quality, cost effective, and reliable solutions for the associated business teams. They will be responsible for managing over $200 million in annual spend as the category owner across all of PHI. They will be responsible for creating and delivering a strategic warehousing plan for executive leadership on a quarterly basis. They will collaborate with internal leaders across all businesses to consolidate spend and drive cost savings opportunities annually. They will be required to drive $1MM of cost savings annually by working with suppliers and the business to find synergies.
Responsibilities and Accountabilities
Manage spend categories with over $200 million of annual spend
Develop partnerships with associated business leaders on short and long-term strategic initiatives
Create and execute a comprehensive sourcing strategy for spend categories under the supply chain umbrella, such as:
Warehousing
Spotting services
Pallets
Warehouse supplies
Capital truck and trailer purchases
Serve as lead liaison on strategic synergy initiatives between procurement, PHI business units, and external suppliers
Lead industry / market reviews quarterly within Supply Chain categories
Create and implement supplier scorecards that measure our suppliers on cost, quality, service, and safety
Collaborate closely with key business functions to reduce costs, increase quality, and drive world-class performance
Drive $750k of cost savings annually across PHI
Create bid packages (RFPs), perform bid analysis, review findings, and provide recommendations on service, quality, cost, and delivery
Lead efforts around bid strategy and implementation including the awarding, communication, and monitoring
Negotiate terms and conditions, and agreements for the purchase of goods and services
Lead the execution of onboarding new suppliers
Participate in bi-annual supplier reviews with the supplier and PHI stakeholders
Identify cost savings opportunities within the business function and work with key stakeholders to gain alignment
Support procurement cost savings initiatives across PHI
Lead development and implementation of key initiatives focused on continuous improvement and cost reduction
Lead supply chain collaboration between leaders at all of the businesses
Interact with and present to senior-level and executive leadership at PHI, PHI operating companies, and suppliers
Manage a multitude of multi-million dollar contracts and high visibility projects simultaneously
Identify economies of scale (EOS) opportunities between the PHI operating companies
Qualifications
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field preferred, equivalent experience considered
Minimum of 5 years of relevant procurement, warehousing, supply chain or related operational experience
Strong analytical and business judgment, including demonstrated problem-solving and trouble-shooting skills
Uses problem-solving and analysis to assess the financial and strategic impact of business initiatives
Results driven for being the low-cost producer and supporting company growth strategies
Influence without authority and provide leadership when working toward solutions involving cross-functional teams within PHI and when working with PHI operating companies

The pay range for this position is $70,386 - $98,541 per year.
