Description We are looking for an experienced Senior Buyer to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Parsippany, New Jersey. In this role, you will be responsible for managing procurement activities, ensuring optimal inventory levels, and fostering strong supplier relationships to support seamless operations. This position requires a proactive approach to forecasting, negotiating, and resolving supply chain challenges.

Responsibilities:

Analyze sales trends and production schedules to accurately predict future material requirements.

Oversee inventory levels and establish reorder points to balance cost efficiency with stock availability.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, engineering, and accounting, to ensure smooth workflows.

Negotiate contracts and pricing with suppliers to secure timely delivery of goods and services.

Prepare and manage purchase orders and work orders within the organizational system.

Address supply chain issues by monitoring shortages, resolving quality concerns, and maintaining operational consistency.

Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers while adhering to contract negotiation policies.

Ensure accuracy and integrity of product files and work orders within the organizational system.

Assist with additional tasks as directed by the Logistics Manager. Requirements - Minimum of 3 years of experience in purchasing or procurement roles.

Proven skills in forecasting demand and managing inventory levels.

Strong ability to negotiate pricing and supplier agreements effectively.

Solid understanding of purchasing functions, materials, and procurement processes.

Experience with supply chain management and resolving material shortages.

Proficiency in using organizational systems for managing purchase and work orders.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work across departments.

Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and maintaining operational integrity.
