Lead Platform Engineer, Workday (Finance)

We are seeking Workday Engineers who are passionate about developing highly-resilient, fundamentally-sound objects to support the Finance technology driving Capital One. As part of a team that's leading the next wave of disruption on a whole new scale, you will play an integral part in advancing Capital One's Finance Technology ecosystem and culture of technical excellence. You will champion automation of functional and technical processes and bring your expertise to drive innovative solutions.
General Responsibilities:
Lead a team of integrators and configurators to support the Workday Finance modules
Work with product owners to align on priorities and deliver on key objectives using Agile methodologies, while maintaining the highest platform and Enterprise standards.
Deliver solutions for Capital One's Global Finance organization using capabilities in Workday Financials modules including Core Financials, Expenses, Accounting Center and Prism.Deliver solutions in Workday platform across the Finance modules of General Ledger, Fixed Assets, Expenses, Global Consolidation, Invoices, Payments and Suppliers through efficient and organized processes while maintaining high standards
Effectively communicate across team, Product Owner, stakeholders and influence solutions across business partners
Identify opportunities for process improvements, collaborate with Finance partners to provide innovative ideas and insights to redesign business processes that will optimize business results.
Design and build solutions to complex problems using Workday-native capabilities - orchestration, business process configuration, web service technologies and reporting technologies.
Design and develop automation workflows, perform unit tests and conduct code reviews for self and the team, to make sure work is rigorously designed, elegantly coded and effectively tuned for platform performance and quality.
Basic Qualifications:
High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent certification
At least 6 years of Workday platform experience
At least 4 years of experience designing and developing end-to-end solutions within Workday
At least 4 years of experience working with APIs within the Workday environment using REST or SOAP
At least 2 years of experience in a technical leadership role overseeing strategic projects
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree
7+ years of experience working with Workday platform across the Workday Finance modules (General Ledger, Fixed Assets, Expenses, Global Consolidation, Invoices, Payments and Suppliers)
5+ years of experience designing and developing integration solutions in Workday
5+ years of experience working with APIs within the Workday environment using REST or SOAP
2+ years experience configuring and building within Workday Prism and Accounting Center
1+ years of experience with building solutions on Workday Extend
Workday Pro Certifications (Integration Developer, Financial Reporting)

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.

Chicago, IL: $149,800 - $171,000 for Lead Platform Engineer
McLean, VA: $164,800 - $188,100 for Lead Platform Engineer
New York, NY: $179,700 - $205,100 for Lead Platform Engineer
Plano, TX: $149,800 - $171,000 for Lead Platform Engineer
Richmond, VA: $149,800 - $171,000 for Lead Platform Engineer
San Francisco, CA: $179,700 - $205,100 for Lead Platform Engineer
San Jose, CA: $179,700 - $205,100 for Lead Platform Engineer
Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate's offer letter.
This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
