Immediate Accounting Clerk opening in Charleston - roles open due to recent software conversion ??????

Accounting Specialist / Accounting Clerk (Multiple Openings) / Open to Entry Level Accounting or transactional backgrounds (AP/ AR) Pay: $20/hr Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM Reason for openings: Clean up Project 3-6+ months Duration - Temporary project Type: Contract Location: Onsite Charleston, WV Overview We are seeking five Accounting Specialists to support the accounting team with day-to-day operations, system cleanup, and project-based work. This role focuses heavily on Oracle ERP , reconciliation, and general ledger support. The Accounting Specialist will help maintain accurate financial records, and will work on mainly reThis position is open to candidates with bookkeeping, AP/AR, or general accounting experience , as well as recent graduates with an accounting degree . Ideal for someone detail-oriented who enjoys reconciliation, analysis, and helping teams get caught up on critical accounting tasks. Key Duties & Responsibilities There is multiple positions, the team will be able to support specific projects based on individual strengths and experience Required Experience & Education

The areas we need help with are surcharges , freight, and fixed assets.

Provide general accounting and operational support

Perform data entry and system cleanup in Oracle

Review transactions to ensure items are booked to the correct ledger

Compare and reconcile data from different areas of the system

Identify discrepancies and make necessary adjustments

Analyze account balances and assist with reconciliation efforts

Review short pays, freight charges, and fixed assets (as needed)

Accounting experience preferred, but open to entry-level candidates and recent graduates

Internship, bookkeeping, AP, AR, or general accounting experience a plus

Experience with Oracle ERP is preferred, but not required

Strong interest in developing hands-on accounting skills in a corporate environment
