Job Title: Electrical Technician Job Description

Join our team as an Electrical Technician and enjoy three-day weekends every week. You will work from Tuesday to Friday, 6:30am to 5:00pm, providing essential services that maintain the safety and functionality of our facilities.

Responsibilities

Install, maintain, and repair electrical control, wiring, and lighting systems.

Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams in compliance with NEC and local codes.

Troubleshoot and repair electrical components, including transformers, motors, PLCs, and lighting systems.

Use electrical testing equipment to diagnose system issues.

Perform preventative and routine maintenance to ensure system reliability.

Conduct inspections and recommend repairs or replacements as needed.

Follow all safety policies, regulations, and safe work practices.

Maintain accurate documentation of repairs, maintenance, and inventory.

Essential Skills

Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems, including PLCs and high-voltage systems.

Proficient with hand and power tools and electrical testing meters.

Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.

Completion of an electrical apprenticeship preferred.

Proven experience as an industrial electrician.

Valid state certification or license, as required.

Work Environment

The work environment is fairly clean, as it involves food products. There is a noticeable smell of SO2 in the air, which is not overly strong. The facility is warm during the winter and can become hot in the summer.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wahpeton, ND.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
