Planner Intermediate:
This position exists to provide planning assistance and structured support for agencywide projects and other activities managed by the Office of Strategy & Performance. The incumbent contributes to project planning and implementation by creating structures, recommending process improvements, developing work plans, and tracking progress. The role ensures consistency and accountability in project execution under limited supervision, supporting division and enterprise priorities without carrying sole responsibility for methodology design or statewide planning outcomes.
Responsibilities include but may not be limited to:
Assist cross-agency teams in the planning and project management of agencywide, high-impact projects. Apply established planning methods, develop work plans, track milestones, and provide technical support to ensure projects progress on schedule.
Support the OSP Director, Deputy Director, and Managers by assisting with process improvement activities through analysis, documentation, and recommendations.
Sustain and build on project management and process improvement expertise.
Planner Senior State:
This position exists to support the planning and delivery of agencywide projects and other activities managed by the Office of Strategy and Performance. The incumbent supports OSP leaders by creating planning methodologies, supporting project teams in delivering outcomes with department-wide impact. The role provides formal recommendations to OSP leadership; supports staff in process improvement practices and is accountable for the development and implementation of plans and processes underpinning the work of OSP.
Responsibilities include but may not be limited to:
Determine planning methodologies and ensure accountability for project outcomes with departmentwide or statewide impact.
ActasaresourceforOSPDirector, DeputyDirector, and Managersforimprovingprocessesandtoolsthroughongoinganalysisand recommendations and function as a process improvement mentor for the rest of the division.
Sustainandbuildonprojectmanagementandprocessimprovementexpertise.
Minimum Qualifications

Planner Intermediate:**
One (1) year professional experience in coordinating and/or managing projects and/or process improvements;
OR
Three (3) years of advanced technical or paraprofessional experience in coordinating and/or managing projects and/or process improvements;
OR
Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Business Administration, or related field and Two (2) years of advanced technical or paraprofessional experience in coordinating and/or managing projects;
OR
Master's degree in Project Management, Business Administration, or related field.
AND
Experience must demonstrate:
Organization and coordination skills sufficient to manage an active portfolio of projects and/or process improvements.
Ability to set priorities and manage tasks within established project plans, adjusting work and using available resources effectively under supervision.
Exceptional skills in Microsoft Excel, Teams, and/or SharePoint.
Basic understanding of public administration principles and organizational planning, along with familiarity with planning and goal setting concepts.
Ability to apply established project management tools and methods, communicate clearly with team members and stakeholders, and contribute to project progress by documenting, analyzing, and reporting information as directed.
Experience in process improvement.
Planner Senior State:
Two (2) years of professional experience in coordinating and/or managing projects.
Experience must demonstrate:
Knowledge of project management principles and methodologies and be able to design, adapt, and lead their application across enterprise projects, ensuring accountability for outcomes.
Experience in process improvement.
Demonstratedexperiencedevelopingsuccessfulsolutionstoidentifyprocessimprovementopportunities.
Organization and coordination skills sufficient to manage an active portfolio of projects.
Ability to set priorities and manage tasks within established project plans, adjusting work and using available resources effectively under supervision.
Basic understanding of public administration principles and organizational planning, along with familiarity with strategic planning concepts and goal setting.

A Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Business Administration, or related field may substitute for one (1) year of experience
Preferred Qualifications
Project Management Professional certification; Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification; or similar relevant professional certification.
Business process flow analysis and redesign techniques..
Experience with state operational systems, including Sema4, SWIFT, etc.
Data and information tracking and organization.
Experience with strategic planning
Knowledge of state government programs and their interrelationships and an understanding of human services policy and procedures, and of government functions and relations.
Support governance, organizational design, organizational change management, objective development, continuous improvement and evaluation to ensure quality standards are met.
Variety of experiences working effectively with others from different backgrounds and cultures.
