RESPONSIBILITIES

I. JOB SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES:

Under the general direction of the Intake Manager, the Clinical Office Assistant receives, records, and schedules Medicare certified patient services according to the patients' needs and staffing availability.

Provides clinical support to the Intake Manager related to operational needs.

Performs appropriate and timely follow-up in response to patients' services and clinical needs.

Provides day-to-day staff and administrative assistance; triages and schedules patients; screens and refers phone calls; communicates with clinical staff and patients; clerical and staff support to clinical teams and assists with clinical processes as required.

II. TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Seeing, speaking, hearing, finger dexterity.

Constant: reaching above, at and below shoulders; repetitive arm/hand motion and frequent gripping of objects.

Frequent: walking, standing, stooping/bending, and twisting body.

Occasional: lifting/carrying weight up to 35 pounds, pushing/pulling 3.5 pounds of force.

III. TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:

Not subjected to adverse environmental conditions.

IV. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

A. EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE:

High school diploma or equivalent.

B. EXPERIENCE

Prior clerical office experience answering telephones, operating office equipment with accuracy, and contact with people.

Ability to organize, prioritize and manage multiple projects concurrently.

Ability to use Microsoft Office, Outlook, Excel, and Word.

Ability to operate various office equipment such as computers, facsimile, calculator, and copier.

Able to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing.

Familiarity with medical terminology.
