How you'll make an impact in this role

Transition from observer to active participant by learning to anticipate surgical needs.

Develop knowledge of surgical instrumentation and sterile techniques during complex procedures.

Learn to manage the entire surgical environment before and during procedures.

Monitor patient physiological status, coordinate with the surgical team, and advocate for patient safety.

Train alongside nurses and surgeons to learn hemostasis, suturing, wound exposure, and therapeutic patient positioning.

Gain experience in the setup, troubleshooting, and management of surgical technology and life-support equipment.

What minimum requirements you'll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

Registered Nurse credentialed from the Maryland Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

One or more of the following required:

Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Education:

Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.
