Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant in Oxford, Ohio. In this role, you will contribute to the financial operations of multiple non-profit entities, ensuring accurate and timely accounting processes. This is a Contract to permanent position, offering an excellent opportunity for growth in a collaborative and supportive environment.

Responsibilities:

Manage financial operations for three non-profit organizations, ensuring compliance and accuracy.

Perform general accounting tasks, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, and journal entries.

Collaborate daily with teams handling accounts receivable, accounts payable, and other financial functions.

Assist with monthly and year-end financial closings, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.

Reconcile balance sheet accounts and expense accounts to maintain financial integrity.

Conduct daily and monthly bank and cash reconciliations with precision.

Support the accounting team in preparing for annual audits, ensuring compliance and readiness.

Handle sensitive and confidential financial data with discretion.

Utilize accounting software to streamline processes and maintain records.

Take on additional duties as assigned to support organizational goals.

Requirements - Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience in lieu of a degree.

Minimum of three years of accounting experience with attention to detail.

Proficiency in general accounting practices, including journal entries and reconciliations.

Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, along with 10-key proficiency.

Ability to learn and adapt to new accounting software systems.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Knowledge of Accufund accounting software is a plus; familiarity with Salesforce-based systems is desirable.

Ability to work in an office environment with regular attendance and occasional physical tasks.
