Description We are looking for an experienced Medical Scheduler to join our team in Chesterfield, Missouri. In this role, you will coordinate patient appointments and ensure the scheduling process is seamless and efficient, contributing to a positive experience for patients and referring offices alike. This is a long-term contract position within the healthcare industry, offering an excellent opportunity to support critical medical services.

Responsibilities:

Coordinate and schedule patient examinations in line with company policies and procedures.

Maintain positive and attentive interactions with patients, referring offices, and staff members.

Accurately collect and record personal, insurance, and financial information for all patients.

Ensure all patient details are entered into the system correctly and comprehensively.

Inform patients about financial obligations, preparation instructions, transportation requirements, and other pre-appointment guidelines.

Communicate any changes in scheduling to technologists to ensure patient satisfaction.

Manage and update databases with current and potential referring physician details.

Handle overflow calls from other centers within the region to facilitate uninterrupted scheduling services. Requirements - Proven experience in patient scheduling or a similar role within the healthcare industry.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to ensure accurate record-keeping.

Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to interact effectively with patients and staff.

Proficiency in using medical scheduling systems and databases.

Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.

Knowledge of insurance and financial information processes related to medical appointments.

Familiarity with advising patients on pre-appointment preparation and requirements.
