Job Title: Industrial EngineerJob Description

As an Industrial Engineer, you will analyze and design the sequence of operations and workflow to enhance efficiencies in plant and production facilities. Your role will involve establishing methods for optimal utilization of production facilities and personnel, as well as optimizing product flow. You may also be involved in establishing accident prevention measures and managing training programs for personnel across all phases of production operations. Through conducting studies on cost control, inventory management, and production record systems, you will develop and implement optimized product flows. Additionally, you may assist facilities engineers in the planning and design of facilities, and provide time standards and standard work for operations and processes. Your analytical skills will be essential for capacity analysis, tool and equipment utilization, and line balancing. You will perform trend analysis on shop performance measures to identify opportunities for improvements.

Responsibilities

Analyze and design sequence of operations and workflow to improve efficiencies in plant and production facilities.

Establish methods for maximum utilization of production facilities and personnel.

Optimize product flow and manage accident prevention measures.

Conduct studies on cost control, cost reduction, inventory control, and production record systems.

Assist in planning and design of facilities.

Develop and provide time standards to the shop floor.

Utilize analytical skills for capacity analysis, tool and equipment utilization, and line balancing.

Perform trend analysis on shop performance measures to identify improvement opportunities.

Essential Skills

Industrial engineering expertise.

Process improvement knowledge.

Experience with bar lines, product cycle, and waterfalls.

Continuous improvement techniques.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Ability to establish accident prevention measures.

Capacity to manage training programs for personnel.

Skill in conducting studies on cost control and inventory management.

Experience in planning and designing facilities.

Work Environment

The work environment is an engineering setting with a schedule of Monday to Friday, 7 AM to 4 PM.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Wichita, KS.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $70.00/hr.
