Accounting Manager

Description We are looking for a skilled Accounting Manager to oversee key financial operations, including month-end closings, account reconciliations, and audits. This role requires an individual with strong attention to detail, expertise in managing general ledger activities, and a commitment to compliance with financial reporting standards. The position offers a long-term contract opportunity in Farmington, Connecticut, and provides a chance to contribute to a dynamic financial team.

Responsibilities:

Manage month-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.

Oversee general ledger activities, including maintenance and reconciliation of accounts.

Coordinate and support financial statement audits, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

Prepare and review journal entries to maintain accurate financial records.

Perform detailed account reconciliations to identify and resolve discrepancies.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve financial processes and reporting.

Provide leadership and guidance to accounting staff, fostering growth and development.

Ensure adherence to accounting policies and procedures while implementing best practices.

Analyze financial data and generate reports for management decision-making.

Assist in forecasting and budgeting activities to align with organizational goals. Requirements - Proven experience in accounting management or a related role.

Strong knowledge of month-end closing processes and general ledger activities.

Proficiency in conducting financial statement audits and ensuring compliance.

Expertise in preparing journal entries and reconciling accounts.

Familiarity with accounting software and tools for financial reporting.

Attention to detail and accuracy in handling financial data.

Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively within a team.
