We are seeking a Nurse Manager to lead our Pediatric Orthopaedic clinical teams across multiple outpatient locations. This role blends clinical expertise with operational leadership - ideal for a nurse who thrives in a fast-paced specialty environment and is ready to shape both care delivery and culture.
This is more than a management position. It's an opportunity to influence clinical practice, mentor nurses and medical assistants, and ensure children and families receive exceptional, safe, and coordinated care every single day.
Responsibilities
What You'll Do
Provide Clinical Leadership
Oversee all nursing and clinical support staff across multiple outpatient sites
Ensure adherence to nursing standards, scope of practice, and regulatory requirements
Maintain a culture of patient safety, infection prevention, and clinical excellence
Review and support competency validation for orthopedic-specific skills (casting, post-op care, DME education, etc.)
Partner with providers to ensure evidence-based, high-quality patient care
Lead & Develop the Team
Recruit, hire, onboard, and mentor nursing and clinical staff
Conduct performance evaluations and ongoing competency assessments
Provide coaching, accountability, and professional development planning
Support succession planning and internal growth pathways
Lead regular staff meetings and clinical updates
Drive Operational & Quality Outcomes
Oversee daily clinical workflows to ensure efficient patient throughput
Monitor staffing models to align patient acuity with appropriate coverage
Track and improve quality metrics, patient experience scores, and safety indicators
Participate in incident review, quality improvement initiatives, and regulatory readiness
Support implementation of new clinical programs or service expansions
Collaborate Across the Organization
Serve as the clinical liaison between providers, administration, and frontline staff
Partner with revenue cycle and operations to support accurate documentation and compliance
Participate in strategic planning, growth initiatives, and service line development

Minimum Qualifications
A Utah RN license is required for this position. Requires a Bachelor's degree in a related area of assignment or equivalency (2 years related work experience may be substituted for 1 year of education) and four years of progressively more responsible management experience. Background knowledge of assigned department's area of specialization in order to analyze, plan and draw conclusions for recommendations to superiors. Demonstrated leadership skills in planning and directing employees and processes in order to effectively monitor and develop subordinates and to ensure the smooth operation of department. Preferences Master's degree in a related area may be preferred. Completion of provided supervisory training within one year of employment may be required.
This position is patient-sensitive and must fulfill all associated requirements.
