JOB SUMMARY
The Purchasing Clerk is responsible for managing/ assisting in all aspects of the operation from Shipping, Receiving, Front office, and back office. The Purchasing Clerk will oversee/manage purchase orders, maintain inventory records, and ensure timely procurement of goods and services while coordinating with suppliers and internal teams. This role requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with vendors and internal teams.

ESSENTIAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
Duties and responsibilities are not limited to and are as follows:
? Perform all work in accordance with the highest standards of Smurfit Westrock-Vitop safety
policies, ensure all safety policies and processes are enforced.
? Process purchase requisitions and purchase orders in a timely manner, including data entry
and updating spreadsheets, order entry, processing POs in SAP, sending the pickup request
and shipping paperwork.
? Tracking shipments and updating delivery statuses, get pickup appointments, confirm
delivery, update shipping schedule file, tracking final pricing.
? Coordinating with vendors for routine follow-up setting up calendar events.
? Managing inventory records and order confirmations.
? Scrap follow-up, finish good inventory follow up.
? Manage, track and store a variety of equipment - computers, phones, keys, uniforms, etc.
? Responsible for weekly count of all consumable items and reorder based on inventory
count or what is needed for the plant to run efficiently.
? Perform general administrative tasks to support other departments, including GM, Human
Resources, and Finance.
? Successfully complete all essential training. Adhere to lock-out tag-out policy and
procedures and PPE requirements.
? Work with all departments to meet daily tasks.
? Other duties as assigned.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Qualification/Experience
? High school diploma or GED; associate\u2019s degree in business, Supply Chain, or related field preferred
Minimum 1 years of experience in purchasing or procurement, preferably in a
manufacturing or industrial setting.
? Ability to work a flexible schedule, which may include nights, overtime and weekend
assignments.
? Ability to work in a team environment and rotate jobs or shifts as needed.
Knowledge
? Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); experience with inventory systems
(SAP) a plus.WILL NEED TO BE ABLE TO CREATE EXCEL SPREADSHEET AND DO SIMPLE FORMULA FOR ONSITE ASSESSMENT
? Knowledge of safety practices, 5S, and LEAN manufacturing a plus.
? Understanding standard work (SOP\u2019s).
? Understands and follows Company\u2019s quality and corporate/environmental policies.
? Understands and follows procedures and work instructions established by Smurfit Westrock
Vitop, USA.
Skills

? Must be able to lift and stack objects up to 50 pounds occasionally to lift, carry, push, and pull

kneeling, crouching, twisting/turning, and reaching, bending at the waist. Indoor/ out-door
work environment with exposure to weather extremes.
? Must be able to perceive the nature of sound, utilize near and far vision, depth perception,
provide oral information, and possess the manual dexterity to handle and work with various
materials and objects which are essential aspects of this position.
? The noise level in the work environment is dependent on area of the plant.
? Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) (eye protection, ear protection, hand protection and
safety shoes) is required for specific tasks and/or area of the plant worked in.
