Job Summary: Express Employment Professionals is hiring Production / Sanitation Associates for a temporary opportunity with a fast-paced, family-owned bakery in Bellingham. This company is dedicated to creating delicious allergen-free baked goods while promoting sustainability and reducing its environmental impact. In this role, you will assist with production duties such as monitoring the baking process, working with raw ingredients, and ensuring products meet quality standards, as well as sanitation responsibilities, including cleaning, sanitizing equipment, and maintaining a clean workspace. Experience in food production, warehouse, packaging, or sanitation is preferred. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced setting, communicates effectively, pays close attention to detail, and is reliable and ready to take on a long-term position. Job Duties & Responsibilities include: Sanitation:

-Clean, rinse, scrub, and sanitize bakery and production equipment

-Disassemble and reassemble food-processing equipment for sanitation

-Maintain plant cleanliness in compliance with GMP and safety standards

-Safely handle sanitation chemicals and replenish supplies as needed (PPE required)

-Inspect equipment, complete sanitation records, and checklists

-Report maintenance or cleanliness issues to supervisors

-Assist on the packaging line and support production needs as assigned

-Prepare equipment and work areas for the next production shift

PRODUCTION: -Operate, monitor, and adjust food cooking machines and kitchen equipment according to company and recipe standards. -Measure, load, and mix raw/wet ingredients following written recipes and industry guidelines. -Deposit batter, load baking racks into ovens, and monitor baking times/temperatures. -Remove finished products from the line, transfer to cooling areas, and assist with packaging. -Inspect equipment, perform record keeping, and verify product quality (size, shape, and consistency). -Maintain a clean, contamination-free workstation while following safety and production standards.
