Description

We are looking for a dedicated Customer Service Officer to join our team on a contract basis in Santa Monica, California. As part of a company specializing in premium infant formula and nutrition products, you will play a vital role in ensuring exceptional service and support to our retail partners and customers. This position requires strong organizational skills, problem-solving abilities, and excellent communication to successfully manage customer interactions and administrative tasks. This is a hybrid position with in-office work on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, and remote work on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The standard hours are 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Responsibilities:

Respond to incoming customer communications, process orders, and manage payment data with accuracy.

Coordinate order management and shipment schedules to ensure timely and efficient fulfillment.

Support customer onboarding and electronic data interchange (EDI) projects as needed.

Collaborate with customers to address inquiries and resolve issues, delivering an outstanding B2B experience.

Participate in regular team meetings to prioritize tasks and align on project goals.

Handle administrative responsibilities to maintain smooth customer service operations.

Work independently with accountability, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently without onsite supervision.

Receive thorough cross-training to ensure a seamless transition into the role.

Requirements

Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in customer service and administrative roles, preferably with U.S. or international retailers.

Familiarity with order management, shipment coordination, and customer onboarding processes; EDI experience is a plus.

Strong written and verbal communication skills coupled with excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.

Proven ability to work independently, adapt quickly, and learn new systems and processes.

Experience in the food & beverage, nutrition, or related sectors is highly desirable.

Availability for a 3-4 month maternity cover starting within the next three weeks.

Proficiency in call center customer service and Windows PC applications is essential.
