Description

We are looking for an Accounting professional for a position in Greenwood, South Carolina. This Contract to permanent position offers an excellent opportunity to apply your accounting expertise in a dynamic environment, ensuring the smooth operation of financial processes. The role requires someone with strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and a commitment to accuracy.

Responsibilities:

Maintain and update the general ledger to ensure accurate financial records.

Prepare and post journal entries in compliance with accounting standards.

Conduct bank reconciliations to verify account balances and resolve discrepancies.

Assist with month-end closing activities, ensuring deadlines are met.

Utilize Microsoft Excel to analyze financial data and create detailed reports.

Reconcile accounts to maintain accuracy and transparency in financial transactions.

Contribute to budgeting processes by reviewing financial data and providing insights.

Calculate and manage depreciation schedules for fixed assets

Requirements

Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience with a focus on accuracy and detail.

Proficiency in managing general ledger operations and journal entries.

Expertise in performing bank reconciliations and month-end close activities.

Strong skills in account reconciliation and ensuring data accuracy.

Familiarity with budgeting processes and financial planning.

Understanding of depreciation calculations and asset management.

Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

Additional Information:

Hours: flexible - open to someone working 32 hours or 40 hours
