Description

We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Lead with over 10 years of expertise to join our team on a contract basis. This role is remote and involves overseeing the accounts payable function while driving improvements in payment processes and controls. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in financial services and a proven ability to enhance operational efficiency.

Responsibilities:

Lead the accounts payable function, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in vendor payments.

Develop and implement best practices for procure-to-pay processes to enhance efficiency and control.

Perform detailed account reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records.

Collaborate with internal teams to support audits and ensure compliance with financial regulations.

Utilize NetSuite and other financial systems to manage workflows effectively.

Analyze current processes and identify opportunities for improvement.

Oversee the resolution of payment discrepancies and vendor inquiries promptly.

Maintain strong relationships with vendors, ensuring clear communication and adherence to payment terms.

Provide guidance and leadership to the accounts payable team.

Monitor key metrics and prepare reports to track performance and progress.

Requirements - Minimum of 10 years of experience in accounts payable or a related financial role.

Proficiency in NetSuite and other financial systems.

Strong knowledge of financial statement audits and account reconciliation.

Experience in financial services or cryptocurrency industries is preferred.

Demonstrated expertise in business process improvement.

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and work within tight deadlines.

Strong communication and leadership abilities.
