Banking is responsible for the origination, execution, and portfolio management of all corporate banking products and services, including credit, treasury management, and deposits; providing coverage and execution for all investment banking solutions, including capital raising, subscription finance, and mergers & acquisitions (M&A).
About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a 1st or 2nd Year Associate to join our Industrials Investment Banking coverage team. Our Industrials team advises on complex financial transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, equity and debt financings, joint ventures, and financial investments. Key sub-sectors include Aerospace & Defense, Building Products, Capital Goods, Chemicals, Forest Products & Packaging, Industrial Services, Metals, and Transportation & Logistics.
In this role, you will:
Manage and develop client coverage materials
Build financial models and support various financial analyses, including valuations and merger consequences
Perform comprehensive and in-depth company and industry research
Prepare presentations and other materials and memos for clients and internal committees
Present recommendations for resolving business challenges and exercise independent judgment while developing expertise in the function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements
Develop, train and support Analysts, and contribute to the overall growth and success of the team
Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
Participate in client meetings, due diligence visits and other client interactions during which they gain exposure to key executives and senior bankers
Required Qualifications:
2+ years of Investment Banking Program experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree with coursework in financial accounting and corporate finance or MBA
2+ years of relevant investment banking experience
Strong financial modeling skills
Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritization skills
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work collaboratively in a demanding, highly focused, deadline driven, fast paced team environment, with a sense of personal accountability and urgency for achieving results

Registration for FINRA Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) exam must be completed within 90 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire. FINRA recognized equivalents will be accepted.
Registration for FINRA Series 63 must be completed within 90 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire. FINRA recognized equivalents will be accepted.
Registration for FINRA Series 79 must be completed within 90 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire. FINRA recognized equivalents will be accepted.
