Our client is a mid-sized law firm seeking a detail-oriented Legal Assistant to support their litigation and corporate practice groups. This role is a great opportunity for someone looking to build a career in the legal field while working alongside experienced attorneys.

You'll handle document preparation, court filings, client correspondence, and calendar management to keep cases moving efficiently.

Responsibilities

Prepare, proofread, and format legal documents and correspondence
File documents with courts and government agencies
Manage attorney calendars and schedule meetings and depositions
Maintain organized case files in both physical and digital formats
Communicate with clients, courts, and opposing counsel professionally
Conduct basic legal research and gather case materials
Track billable hours and assist with client invoicing
Coordinate travel arrangements and expense reports for attorneys

Requirements

1+ year of experience in a legal assistant or legal secretary role
Familiarity with court filing procedures and legal terminology
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and document management systems
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
Associate's degree or paralegal certificate preferred but not required
