Job Title: Accounting SpecialistJob Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Specialist responsible for managing daily invoice scanning, data entry, and vendor communication. This role plays a crucial part in maintaining an organized and efficient accounting system.

Responsibilities

Scan daily invoices for storage in DocuWare, addressing a backlog of at least three months across all entities.

Add freight invoice data to inbound and outbound spreadsheets.

Scan checks into DocuWare, prepare envelopes, and run them through the postage meter for each payment run on Thursdays and Fridays.

Update daily invoice issue spreadsheets for each plant.

Contact vendors for statements, review for missing invoices, and follow up to obtain any missing documents in Oracle.

Pull invoices and backup documents for storage in the AFE file of DocuWare.

Organize month-end journal entries and backup, storing the files in DocuWare.

Essential Skills

Proficiency in accounting, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.

Experience in data entry and invoice processing.

Basic accounting experience, particularly in transactional accounting.

Basic data entry experience.

Basic customer service experience, particularly in vendor communication.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience with accounts payable.

Invoicing experience.

Familiarity with DocuWare.

Work Environment

This is an in-office position, requiring physical presence to manage documentation and communication tasks effectively. The role is initially needed from February to March, with potential extension until the end of July, providing an opportunity to expand skills in invoice processing and support smaller plant operations.

This is a Contract position based out of Alliance, OH.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
