Description We are looking for an experienced Buyer to join a leading plastics manufacturing company in Auburn Hills, Michigan. In this long-term contract role, you will be responsible for managing procurement strategies, negotiating contracts, and ensuring optimal purchasing practices. This position offers an opportunity to contribute significantly to the company's supply chain efficiency and success.

Responsibilities:

Negotiate pricing agreements with suppliers to ensure cost-effective procurement.

Manage the RFQ process to evaluate and select vendors based on quality, cost, and reliability.

Oversee strategic purchasing activities to align with organizational goals and project requirements.

Utilize SAP or similar systems to track and manage procurement processes effectively.

Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to support long-term partnerships.

Analyze market trends and pricing models to inform purchasing decisions.

Ensure compliance with corporate procurement policies and procedures.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support project timelines and objectives.

Monitor and evaluate vendor performance to ensure adherence to contractual agreements.

Prepare and review contract documentation, ensuring accuracy and completeness. Requirements - A minimum of 3 years of experience in a buyer or procurement role.

Proficiency in SAP or equivalent procurement systems.

Strong knowledge of corporate procurement practices and strategies.

Demonstrated ability to negotiate pricing and manage supplier relationships.

Familiarity with RFQ processes and vendor selection methods.

Excellent analytical skills to assess market trends and pricing.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with various teams.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
