Summary

CHS Inc in Cedar Rapids, IA is looking for a Hazmat Truck Driver to join our team! This individual would be delivering crop protection products to customers and other CHS warehouses. You will need a Class A CDL with hazmat and tanker endorsements or willing to obtain prior to employment. This position is a M-F position with overnight routes frequently throughout the year . You will be out for no more than 2 nights/week and guaranteed to be home on the weekends. CHS Inc is one of the biggest names in agronomy, energy and grain processing. Responsibilities

Ensure accurate and on time deliveries to our customers in a safe, timely, and professional manner.

Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal laws. To include but not limited to pre-trip and post-trip reporting, proper load securement and hours of service.

Assist in the warehouse when not delivering product.

Work extended hours in-season to meet business demands.

Maintain and promote a strong safety culture and follow all safety policies, procedures and regulations. Identify and communicate workplace hazards and correct or seek assistance in correcting unsafe actions or conditions

Assist warehouse staff and perform other duties as needed or assigned.

Minimum Qualifications (required)

Class A CDL with hazmat and tanker endorsements or willing to obtain prior to employment.

Ability to read, write and communicate in English and understand highway traffic signs and signals

Additional Qualifications

Must meet DOT and Company requirements

Bulk liquid experience preferred

Pre-employment screening is based on the job requirements and industry guidelines and may or may not be required for the position. If required, selected candidates must pass pre-employment screenings to include all or a combination of drug, criminal, motor vehicle check, physical requirements and FMCSA Clearinghouse.

CHS offers a competitive total rewards package. Compensation includes base wage and, depending upon position, may include other earnings such as bonus, incentives and commissions. Actual pay offered will vary based on multiple factors which may include, without limitation, experience, education, training, specialized skills and certifications, minimum wage/salary requirements under local law.
