Job Description
The Quantitative Researcher delivers rigorous, data driven insights that shape strategic decision making across Business Banking. This role quantifies customer behaviors, attitudes, and market dynamics to inform value proposition strategy, product bundling, go to market planning, and sales enablement. Insights produced by this role directly influence multi million dollar investments and measure the effectiveness of initiatives driving customer growth, retention, and satisfaction.
This position partners closely with senior stakeholders, Analytics, Data Science, and Customer Experience teams to translate complex data into clear, actionable recommendations that move the business forward.
Key Responsibilities
Research Design & Execution
Design, execute, and manage large scale quantitative research studies to identify patterns, test hypotheses, and answer strategic business questions.
Develop surveys, experiments, and statistical models aligned to business objectives and decision needs.
Apply advanced quantitative methodologies to support pricing, segmentation, product strategy, and go to market initiatives.
Analysis & Insight Generation
Conduct data cleaning, validation, and analysis using advanced statistical techniques.
Integrate quantitative findings with qualitative insights to deliver a holistic understanding of customer needs and behaviors.
Measure the impact of strategic initiatives on customer outcomes and business performance.
Stakeholder Partnership & Influence
Partner with cross functional stakeholders to translate business goals into measurable research objectives.
Communicate insights through clear storytelling, executive ready presentations, and data driven recommendations.
Influence strategy by connecting research findings to enterprise priorities and investment decisions.
Visualization & Enablement
Develop dashboards and visualizations that surface trends, performance indicators, and actionable insights.
Enable Sales and Marketing teams with research backed insights that support customer engagement and growth.
Governance & Capability Building
Ensure data integrity, privacy, and ethical standards across all research activities.
Contribute to continuous improvement of research processes and methodologies.
Mentor peers and share best practices in quantitative research and analytics.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or higher in Statistics, Data Science, Psychology, Business, Marketing, or a related field.
3-5 years of experience in quantitative market research, applied analytics, or a related discipline.
Preferred Skills & Experience
Technical & Analytical Expertise
Experience across a range of quantitative methods, including segmentation, choice modeling, pricing strategy, and experimentation.
Advanced knowledge of survey design, sampling techniques, and experimental methods.
Strong foundation in inferential statistics, regression, and multivariate analysis.
Proficiency with statistical analysis tools such as R, Python, SPSS, or SAS.
Experience with data visualization platforms such as Tableau or Power BI.
Research & Design Orientation
Familiarity with UX research tools and mixed method research approaches (nice to have).
Exposure to Design Thinking frameworks and customer centric research methodologies (nice to have).
Communication & Leadership Skills
Advanced PowerPoint expertise, including executive level storytelling, data visualization, and polished visual design.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to simplify complex data for diverse audiences.
Executive presence and confidence engaging with senior leaders.
Proven ability to influence without authority in a highly matrixed environment.
Business Acumen
Strategic mindset with a demonstrated ability to connect insights to business priorities and outcomes.
Track record of delivering data driven insights that influence strategy and investment decisions.
Experience in financial services or Business Banking.
The role offers a hybrid/flexible schedule, which means there's an in-office expectation of 3 or more days per week and the flexibility to work outside the office location for the other days.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $105,400.00 - $124,000.00
