Accounting Manager/Supervisor

Description We are looking for an Accounting Manager/Supervisor based in Greer, South Carolina, who possesses a strong blend of accounting expertise and financial analytical skills. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who is adept at managing financial operations while providing actionable insights to support strategic decision-making. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring compliance, maintaining accurate records, and driving financial performance.

Responsibilities:

Oversee and actively participate in the month-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate completion of all accounting entries.

Perform detailed reconciliations of general ledger accounts, promptly identifying and resolving discrepancies.

Prepare and submit multi-state sales and use tax returns, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations.

Support internal and external audit processes by providing necessary documentation and explaining accounting procedures.

Collaborate on inventory control measures, including physical and cycle counts, to ensure accuracy and efficiency.

Apply cost accounting methodologies to evaluate production costs and profitability, delivering insights to enhance decision-making.

Assist in preparing comprehensive financial statements, including profit and loss reports, balance sheets, and cash flow analyses.

Contribute to budgeting and forecasting activities by analyzing financial trends and variances.

Conduct financial data analysis to identify risks, opportunities, and cost-saving measures.

Provide ad hoc financial reports and analysis to support management in strategic planning. Requirements - Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or financial analysis roles.

Proficiency in managing month-end close processes and general ledger reconciliations.

Strong knowledge of preparing and filing multi-state tax returns.

Experience supporting audit processes, including documentation and compliance.

Familiarity with inventory control and cost accounting practices.

Ability to prepare detailed financial statements and supporting schedules.

Solid analytical skills for budgeting, forecasting, and identifying financial trends.

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial software tools.
