Job Title: Project Manager

Contract Duration: 12-Months

Compensation: $62.00 hourly

Contractor Work Model: Onsite

System One is seeking Project Manager to support capital facilities and construction projects at one of its nuclear generating facilities. This role delivers upgrades, equipment replacements, building/facility modifications, long-term plan development, and other capital improvements. Projects typically range from $100K to multi-million-dollar investment levels and require strict adherence to nuclear, regulatory, and safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage full lifecycle ("cradle-to-grave") execution of facilities, construction, and capital improvement projects.

Develop and maintain scopes of work, schedules, budgets, long-term project plans, and funding requests.

Lead project controls activities including cost tracking, forecasting, variance analysis, documentation, and reporting.

Interface daily with plant stakeholders: engineering, maintenance, operations, supply chain, controls, finance, and leadership.

Manages 5-10 concurrent projects, coordinating internal stakeholders, engineering, maintenance, construction, contractors, and vendors while ensuring delivery on scope, schedule, budget, quality, and risk management requirements.

Source, contract, manage, and coordinate suppliers and external contractors.

Prepare and deliver project presentations to leadership, including authorization and funding approvals.

Conduct field walkdowns and plant observations for risk mitigation, constructability, and issue resolution.

Support risk management, quality assurance, safety compliance, and nuclear regulatory expectations.

Required Qualifications:

5-7 years of facilities, construction, utility, power plant, or commercial nuclear power project management experience.

Demonstrated success managing projects ? $1M.

Strong financial acumen and experience with project controls and variance analysis.

Familiarity with PMI/PMBOK (Waterfall/Predictive) methodologies.

Ability to obtain unescorted nuclear access, which includes:

Federal background investigation

Fitness for Duty testing (drug & alcohol)

Compliance with NRC Access Authorization requirements

U.S. citizenship (required).

Preferred Qualifications:

Construction or Engineering degree (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or Nuclear) from an ABET accredited program.

Commercial nuclear or utility/power plant experience.

Experience with SAP, Oracle Unifier, Workday/UKG, MS Project, or Primavera P6.

Work Environment & Schedule:

Primarily onsite at the assigned nuclear facility (Prairie Island or Monticello).

Typical hours: 40 hrs./week, standard business hours.

Outage periods require 60 hrs./week, often 12 hour days, 6-7 days/week.
