Job Summary:

Under the supervision of the Logistics Manager, the Warehouse Worker is responsible for requisition, receiving, storing, stocking, and distributing materials and supplies and leading the warehouse workers throughout the shift.

Essential duties and responsibilities:

Leads and helps with stocking, storing, labeling, casing, packaging and distributing materials

Leads and helps employees with the physical receipt, checking and storage of delivered material into the warehouse' performs inventory of warehouse materials

Enforces policies for proper receipt, storage, and distribution of materials, reviews invoices

Prepare warehouse stock requests for orders, bid tabulations, stocking reports, etc

Develop and implement procedures for the operations and maintenance of a computerized inventory control system

Verify materials received against purchase requisition

Pull and pack product based on daily orders

Meets specifics of customer orders in a timely manner

Keeps products separated, organized, and in good rotation

Monitors product quality frequently, reporting problems to mitigate safety issues

Operate various pieces of equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts, hoists, palletizers, and/or pallet wrappers

Periodically, take inventory of materials, equipment and supplies in storage as assigned

Follow good manufacturing practices and required work safe practices

Minimum/Preferred Qualifications: (M=minimum, P=preferred)

Education

High school diploma or equivalent-M

Experience and/or Training

1+ Years of warehouse or material handling experience-M

Forklift experience-M

Computer knowledge, SAP, Microsoft-M

Familiarity with Radio Frequency (RF) equipment-P

Physical and mental demands

Continuous-Walking, standing, seeing, hearing, fast paced work

Frequent-Reading, talking, writing, use of equipment such as forklift, hoist, pallet jacks, etc.

Occasional-Basic math, reasoning, computer use

Intermittent- Use of hand tools

Work Environment

Warehouse environment is climate controlled; noise level is low to moderate.
