Finance Manager

JOB REQUIREMENTS: The School District of Washburn is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Finance Manager to oversee and manage all financial operations of the district. Under the direction of the Superintendent, the Finance Manager is a critical member of the leadership team, responsible for ensuring the fiscal health, integrity, and efficiency of the district\'s resources to support educational excellence and maintain positive relationships across the district. This includes budgeting, accounting, payroll, grant management, and human resources. Key Responsibilities: Budget development and financial planning Payroll administration and benefits coordination Grant management and reporting Financial reporting and audit preparation Internal controls and expenditure oversight Benefits: Health and Dental Insurance Wisconsin Retirement System (WRS) Long-Term Disability Insurance Paid Holidays, Personal, Vacation, Medical, and Emergency Leave Establish and maintain relationships with individual or business customers or provide assistance with problems these customers may encounter. Oversee the flow of cash or financial instruments. Evaluate data pertaining to costs to plan budgets. Prepare financial or regulatory reports required by laws, regulations, or boards of directors. Direct insurance negotiations, select insurance brokers or carriers, and place insurance. ** OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: Associate\'s Degree in Accounting + 3 years of experience in related duties, or Bachelor\'s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, Skyward, and financial software. Preferred experience with Wisconsin DPI WUFAR codes and state/federal financial reporting requirements. Excellent organizational, analytical, and reporting skills. Ability to make sound decisions and maintain confidentiality.
