Summary You will serve as a ELECTRONICS TECHNICIAN in the RANGES/TRGTS OPS/INSTRMTN AND LABS GROUP of NAVAIRWARCENWPNDIV CHINA LAKE. Responsibilities You will provide daily support in maintenance, operations, and training in a wide range of optical tracking systems and serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME). You will collaborate in research, development, design, evaluation, construction, inspection, production, application, standardization, testing, operation, and processes as they pertain to the operations and sustainment of equipment. You will analyze and research technical issues, identify solutions, and communicate those solutions effectively, both orally and in writing to all levels of management and teammates. You will provide related training briefs to workforce under area of cognizance. You will perform troubleshooting and maintenance of electrical systems and subsystems, to include slip ring assemblies, power distribution systems, servo control, optical systems, and data distribution. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the DT-03 pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Analyzing repair practices and developing procedural instructions for use by others on methods and steps to repair equipment; 2) Evaluating the adequacy of equipment for such purposes as repair, calibration, and testing; 3) Developing or evaluating new or modified electronic systems; 4) Analyzing and diagnosing faults in the operational configuration of electronic systems and equipment; 5) Operating and maintaining optical tracking systems and subsystems, to include Kineto Tracking Mounts (KTMs) and Lightweight Tracking Mounts (LTMs); 6) Ability to program and diagnose digital control systems (DCS).
