DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a talented Skilled Technician- Level II to join our team specializing in Manufacturing for our Cummins Inc. facility in Rocky Mount, NC.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

Support Manufacturing Needs : Perform skilled activities to ensure smooth and efficient manufacturing processes.

Safety Protocols : Learn and adhere to safety protocols, especially when working with electricity and industrial equipment, to maintain a safe work environment.

Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) Compliance : Actively report hazards, use personal protective equipment, and engage in HSE training to promote a safe workplace.

Quality Workmanship: Apply high standards of craftsmanship, follow quality procedures, and perform inspections to ensure product quality.

Maintenance and Problem-Solving : Conduct preventive, emergency, and corrective maintenance, and provide feedback to improve equipment reliability.

Team Collaboration : Instruct and coach team members, communicate effectively, and participate in continuous improvement activities.

Housekeeping and Organization : Maintain a clean and orderly work area, contributing to a safe and efficient workspace.

Environmental Awareness : Recognize and minimize the environmental impact of your work, promoting sustainability.

Education, Licenses, Certifications:

High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.

This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

Experience:

Requires some work experience or intermediate level knowledge obtained through education, training or on-the-job experience.

QUALIFICATIONS

*** This position will fall under the Manufacturing Engineer team, and to us be considered an Engineering Tech. Core Responsibilities

Review CMM and manual inspection data from production to identify and resolve issues and drive improvements Plot and coordinate machine adjustments Perform basic program adjustments on CNC machine controllers Work with Engineers and Tooling teams to perform tool tests and implement new machine tools Support other functional groups as needed in troubleshooting and resolving issues impacting production Update process documentation if changes are made to process and document via 3DX Change Action

Skill/Education/Experience Requirements

Performing basic math, including the ability to divide numbers, convert units, basic understanding of geometry and work with positive and negative numbers Ability to work cross-functionally and quickly adapt to changes in work plans Ability to read part and/or machine prints Ability to review and edit CNC programs Ability to understand the orientation of an object in a coordinate reference frame Ability to use computer programs including Excel to support data analysis

Skill/Education/Experience Preferences

2-year degree or 2 years' experience in associated field preferred Basic understanding of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) preferred Basic understanding of CNC cutting machine tools preferred
