Job Description
We are looking for an Industrial Account Manager to join our Rexel USA team in Sacramento, CA!
Summary:
The Account Manager is responsible for serving as an overall manager of assigned accounts including customer's corporate relationships, contracts and compliance, expansion / renewal opportunities, pricing strategies, identification, and escalation of operational issues.
What You'll Do:
Grow sales for account customers to achieve budgeted sales and margin objectives
Pursue contract renewals to maximize profitable sales growth
Primary measurements include: sales growth, operating knowledge of customers, and strategy development
Coordinate Rexel's other internal functions to support the customer: Pricing, Legal, Strategic Sourcing, Branch transactional
Be responsible for selling, marketing, promoting, and demonstrating products and services. Effectively communicate the features and benefits of our offer, leveraging available digital and virtual tools.
Utilize specified CRM system constantly and accurately to manage selling process
Increase business by generating sales to new customers and by expanding Rexel market share at existing customers. Prospect for new accounts within a specified geographic territory.
Collaborate with leadership, team members and suppliers in planning, tracking, and implementing sales strategies and developing new markets
Establish and maintain customer relationships. Learn and evaluate customer operations to aid in identifying customer objectives, requirements, and preferences in order to present a unique solution to each customer tailored to their business objectives and needs
Assist customers with product selection and application utilizing knowledge, internal specialists, as well as supplier representatives
Collaborate with customers and team members for product quotations and provide on-going communication throughout the customer's purchasing lifecycle
Work with management, credit, and customers to resolve payment issues promptly
Gather and report to management information regarding the company, competitors, pricing, products, and current and future market
Actively participate in professional development to improve professional selling skills and maintain technical capabilities. Participate in company training/development, special promotions, sales meetings, supplier seminars and training schools to enhance and maintain personal and product knowledge
Maintain accurate and timely records including sales call schedules and expense reports
Align sales efforts with company initiatives and promotions. Coordinate sales calls with vendors to introduce and demonstrate products, identify customer needs, and promote product and service solutions
Utilize and champion digital tools, customer solutions and services to gain competitive advantage
Other duties as assigned

Qualifications
What You'll Need
5+ years of related experience
Distribution/wholesales sales experience for large industrial customers
High School or GED - Required
4 Year / Bachelor's Degree - Preferred
Valid Driver's License
3+ years of industrial sales or electrical industry experience
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong presentation skills
Ability to present to executive level resources at key customers
Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical skills
Commitment to quality and strong customer focus
Ability to travel in assigned territory
Knowledge of Microsoft Office products
