The Sr. Finance Manager will be responsible for financial planning and analytical support of Patterson Companies. Responsibilities include leadership of the Corporate FP&A team, financial forecasting and planning process, preparing and providing interpretation of financial results, interpreting trends and variances, business leadership by providing critical financial insight for decision making, and merger and acquisition support. This role will focus on team development, cross-functional collaboration and communication, and process execution, accuracy and continuous improvement.

Leadership and Team Development
Demonstrate strong accountability for and leadership of the Corporate finance team, including people selection, development, coaching and retention. Work proactively to create and sustain engaged teams.
Support Senior Leadership with reporting, data, analysis, and ad hoc requests.
Ability to work in a fast paced, collaborative, and constantly changing environment.
Supervises team and provides direction, including hiring, discipline, conducting performance reviews and termination decisions.
Business Partnership
Work closely with the business segment/department leadership teams to understand the business and help drive execution to achieve the objectives and targets of its business strategy.
Create a compelling vision for finance within the business, based on an aligned business and finance strategy and communicate that vision with relevant parties. Act as an effective spokesperson for the business to optimize connectivity across functions, operations, and management.

Financial Management
Responsible for overseeing the annual budget and quarterly forecast processes for the total company, as well as building and supporting the budget and forecast for all Corporate departments (IT, Operations, Digital, HR, Finance, Legal, Regulatory and Compliance). Monitor ongoing results to ensure growth and alignment with the business strategy.
Supports potential new business activity and issue resolution. This includes support of acquisitions (valuation/due diligence), business transactions, and ongoing value realization monitoring of new business and initiatives.
Develop, implement, and manage a program of financial analysis to evaluate business results. In particular, work to improve the business analysis and forecasting tools (P&L, Cash Flow, and Balance Sheet modeling).
Hold self and others accountable for continuous improvement and delivering results.
Maintain process documentation and records to support key areas.
Serve as a liaison with accounting and audit regarding policies and procedures over accounting and control processes and other significant Business Unit matters.
Implement key functional projects and initiatives.
Process Improvement
Review and assess current procedures for efficiency gains.
Partner with IT, Business Intelligence and business functions to build strong processes through collaboration, design, testing and analysis.
Support other team members in identifying and driving process improvement.
Research and identify software solutions that could streamline existing processes.
Qualifications
Undergraduate degree in Finance and/or Accounting
8+ years of experience, with 3+ years of experience leading a team.
Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills
Possesses strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Applications, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access
Highly effective verbal and written communication skills
Strong knowledge of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
Excellent organizational skills
Previous experience with SAP preferred.
Travel
Ability to travel up to 10%

The potential compensation range for this role is below. The final offer amount could exceed this range, based on various factors such as candidate location (geographical labor market), experience, and skills.
