Job Description
As an Industrial Solution Architect, you will play a pivotal role in designing and implementing scalable, data-driven solutions using Rockwell and partner technology, including Cognite Data Fusion (CDF), FactoryTalk Data Mosaix, and FactoryTalk Optix. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams-including engineering, operations, and business stakeholders-to translate complex industrial challenges into digital solutions. Your expertise will help drive digital transformation across industries.
This position can work remotely.
Your Responsibilities:
Solution Design & Architecture
Lead the design of end-to-end industrial data solutions
Define data models, integration patterns, and system architectures aligned with business goals.
Define end-to-end architectures leveraging Cognite Data Fusion, cloud platforms, and edge data ingestion technologies.
Ensure scalability, security, and performance of deployed solutions.
Stakeholder Engagement
Collaborate with clients to understand business needs and translate them into technical requirements.
Present architectural concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Implementation & Delivery
Lead project implementations in a client-facing role.
Guide development teams during implementation phases.
Oversee data ingestion, @contextualization, and visualization workflows.
Oversee and develop ingestion pipelines, APIs, and integration services.
Establish development standards, CI/CD practices, and code quality expectations.
Act as the primary technical advisor for clients adopting our industrial data solutions.
Ensure quality assurance and compliance with best practices.
Technical Leadership
Stay current with industry leading data platforms and industry trends.
Mentor junior architects, developers, and engineers.
Contribute to internal knowledge sharing and best practices.
The Essentials - You Will Have:
Bachelor's Degree in Relevant Field.
Legal authorization to work in the U.S. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.
The Preferred - You Might Also Have:
Typically requires a minimum of 8 years of related experience.
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
5+ years of experience in solution architecture, data engineering, or software development.
Strong understanding of industrial data systems (e.g., historians, SCADA, PLCs, MES, ERP).
Hands-on experience with Cognite Data Fusion, FactoryTalk Data Mosaix, or similar industrial data platforms.
Proficiency in cloud technologies, APIs, and data modeling.
Experience with Python, SQL, and RESTful APIs.
Familiarity with time-series data and @contextualization techniques.
Knowledge of industrial domains such as oil & gas, manufacturing, or energy.
Certifications in cloud and industrial data platfoms, including Cognite.
Experience leading technical teams and manage client-facing delivery.
