As a Security Officer, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence that helps to reduce security-related incidents, and respond to concerns with calm, clear communication. You will deliver welcoming customer service to staff and visitors while working with your team in a caring culture that values agility, reliability, innovation, and integrity.

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to clients, staff, patients, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.

Help to deter unauthorized access by monitoring entrances, verifying credentials, managing visitor check-in, and/or supporting screening and access control measures in a government healthcare location.

Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including calls for assistance, disorderly conduct, and/or medical facility disturbances, and notify appropriate personnel as needed.

Conduct regular and random patrols of interior and exterior areas, including corridors, waiting areas, parking areas, and perimeter routes; working environments and conditions may vary by site.

Document security-related activities and incidents in written reports, maintain logs, communicate observations to site leadership, and support investigations by preserving observations and/or available video when directed.

Minimum Requirements:

Hospital site requires vaccines.

CPR certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.

A Guard Card and/or security-related license is preferred.

Customer service experience is preferred.

CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
