The main focus of the position is to perform routine duties in cleaning and servicing of guest rooms. Room attendant promotes a positive image of the property to guests. Room Attendant must be pleasant, honest, friendly and able to respond to guest request immediately.

Physical:

Must be in good physical condition. While performing the requirements of this job, the associate is regularly required to walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls, and talk and hear. Requires the associate to lift and/or move up to 60 pounds. The associate is required to stand, climb or balance, stoop, kneel or crouch. Room attendants are aware of the physical challenges of the position and are required to take time to stretch regularly, as well as alternate their tasks so they are non-repetitive.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

Responsible for ensuring that guest rooms are ready and cleaned to Chartwell and brand standards, ensuring the value of the product.

Ensures security of any assigned guest room keys and turn over any lost and found items from guest rooms.

Knowledgeable of hotel fire and emergency procedures.

Maintains cleaning supplies, guest amenities and linens in a safe and secure location. Maintains a well organized cart.

Responsibiities:

Ability to relate well to hotel guests and team members. Must be personable, enthusiastic, self-motivated and able to work independently.

Maintains a clean, safe, hazard free-work environment at all times.

Assist team members with daily responsibilities.

While in all public areas of the hotel, be sure to acknowledge all guest and greet them with a smile

Follows the no cell phone policy while on duty, to focus on guest and team member interaction.

Guest Experience:

Works closely with other departments to achieve maximum guest satisfaction.

Investigates all guest inquiries in a timely fashion to provide the highest possible service.

Courteously and promptly responds to guest room requests.

Treats all lost and found items with respect, properly caring for, logging the item, and placing in the hotel's lost and found storage areas.

Safety Awareness:

Maintain safety by adhering to stated safety policies, responsible to report all accidents immediately. Support all safety programs. Proceed with caution when walking on slippery floors and in congested areas. Ensure that proper safety instruction is given before operating any equipment.

Properly uses cleaning tools provided by the hotel so we eliminate injuries and prevent accidents.

Uses Personal Protective Equipment as specified during training.

ACCOUNTABILITY

This job is a room attendant position within a full-service, select service or extended stay hotel. This position reports to the Assistant and Executive Housekeeper.
