Description

We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team on a contract basis in Dalton, Georgia. (On-site 5 days a week) In this role, you will manage essential AP functions, ensuring accuracy and compliance in invoice processing and payment transactions. This is a great opportunity to contribute to a fast-paced and detail-oriented environment. Any flooring or manufacturing experience would be a plus!! Must have at least TWO years of Accounts Payable Experience using Microsoft Dynamics would be beneficial as well!

Responsibilities:

Process and verify invoices with precision, ensuring proper coding and adherence to company policies.

Maintain accurate records for all accounts payable transactions and reconcile discrepancies promptly.

Handle payment processing, including ACH transfers and check runs, in a timely manner.

Collaborate with internal departments to resolve invoice and payment-related issues efficiently.

Review and approve account coding for invoices to ensure alignment with financial standards.

Monitor and manage the accounts payable ledger, keeping it up-to-date and error-free.

Assist with monthly and annual financial closings by providing AP-related documentation and reports.

Identify opportunities for process improvements within the accounts payable function.

Requirements

Proven experience in accounts payable or a similar financial role.

Strong knowledge of invoice coding, payment processing, and ACH transactions.

Familiarity with check run procedures and accounts payable systems.

Excellent attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Solid organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.

Proficient in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Strong communication skills for collaborating with team members and vendors.

Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information.

Must be open willing to consent to drug and background screening to be considered for this role!
