Summary You will serve as a ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER in the COMMAND and ADMINISTRATIVE PROGRAM of NAVWPNSTA SEAL BEACH. Responsibilities You will advise internal and external customers on agency administrative policies and/or procedures. You will analyze current manpower data (e.g., civilian strength, vacancies, projected gains, projected losses) to determine man hour requirements. You will oversee workforce management support services (e.g., personnel actions, awards program) for compliance of policies and regulations. You will evaluate administrative operations to verify compliance with regulations. You will prepare outgoing correspondence in accurate message format for a department. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Exercising management principles and practices, theories and regulations, current/revised guidance, and policies regarding all facets of administrative programs; 2) Providing administrative services and procedures such as forms management, files, directives and correspondence management, classified material custodian, records management, office equipment and supplies; 3) Monitoring/executing financial and budgetary transactions to ensure adequate control of funds; 4) Communicating administrative program reports, changes in protocol, and correspondence. Education In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience: Have successfully completed a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree. OR Have successfully completed three full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent degree. OR Have successfully completed an LL.M. degree that is related to the position being filled. OR Have a combination of experience and education that equates to one year of experience.
