We're making our world better with every water project we complete, and we know the importance of quality assurance to the success of these projects. We're looking for a skilled Design Build Project Engineering / Construction Intern to gain field knowledge in the construction industry and how Jacobs constructs complex water facility projects. This exciting and engaging large-scale infrastructure water project will utilize your Construction Management degree focus to help ensure safe and efficient delivery.

You'll work with the best Engineers and Project Managers in the business, as well as gain experience working closely with the project sub contractors. We want you to be empowered to deliver the boldest solutions for everyday living.

Here's what you will be doing:

Your role will be to learn and train with Project Engineers and Project Manager throughout construction and, closeout. Following the project scope, schedules and budgets, you will develop your skills to ensure the project remains on task. Your main tasks may include reviewing submittals, processing Requests for Information, updating as-built documentation, subcontractor and supplier coordination, inventory inspection, daily reporting, and other duties as assigned. You'll attend weekly construction meetings, promote jobsite safety, and apply critical thinking skills to resolve problems out in the field on the project are tasks associated with this role.

Working towards an applicable Bachelor of Science in Construction Management, Engineering, or a closely related field.

Willingness to work on site and adhere to safety policies.

The physical and environmental demands required to perform the essential duties of this position include standing, walking, sitting, coordination, balance and agility demands, which may include the ability to climb, stoop, kneel, squat, grasp, reach, perform repetitive hand movements. Additional demands may involve a specific level of dexterity, grip strength, climbing and cardiorespiratory demands. The work areas may be indoor, outdoor, have loud noise, active machinery that includes high pressure fluid systems, electrical equipment, some defined confined spaces, heights and depths, fumes, air borne particles, noxious gases, and chemicals as you would come to expect in the water and wastewater design build industry.

Ideally, you'll also have:

3.0 GPA

Interest in a career in construction management of municipal water, water resources and / or conveyance @type work.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to work independently with clear directions of assignment

Ability to work well with others in a team environment
