Summary The Secretary of Defense has ordered a department-wide hiring freeze subject to certain limited exceptions. This position is subject to the DoD hiring freeze. You will serve as a Division Management Assistant in one of several Divisions of the Naval Surface Warfare Center Philadelphia Division. Responsibilities You will serve as an advisor to management in evaluating the effectiveness, productivity and efficiency of the Division's programs and administrative operations/functions. You will develop work operations, new/modified work methods, management processes, and administrative procedures for program operations. You will gather, compile and evaluate facts to make conclusions and recommendations to program and administrative operations concerning organization's program. You will provide financial/budgetary management/tracking/maintenance/development/analysis and administrative support to the Division Head and Program Managers including ensuring all errors are corrected in a timely manner. You will accomplish office operations and management, coordinate administrative policies and procedures and provide direction on the implementation of administrative and clerical work for correspondence, timekeeping, travel and records management. You will prepare Division presentations, financial charts, spreadsheets, plans and reports to carry out financial responsibilities. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications TO QUALIFY FOR NG-4: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NG-3 pay band (GS-7 and GS-8 equivalency) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Coordinating clerical administrative duties for an organization or program. TO QUALIFY FOR NG-3: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NG-2 pay band (GS-5 and GS-6 equivalency) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Performing clerical administrative duties for an organization or program.
