Responsible for Premier and Branch supervisory oversight, execution and implementation of first-line risk management, and business led governance routines. Lead a large team of professionals in the first line of defense, providing direction and guidance for aggregated oversight and governance for all risk @types in the core areas of risk and controls for a major revenue-producing BU and/or major, highly visible corporate function BU. Responsible for the implementation of the company's supervisory and risk programs. Support risk identification, mitigation, and coordination with BURE as well as LOD2 and LOD3 partners. Support the design of strategic group (risk) initiatives. Lead a team of supervisory and risk management professionals who collaborate with senior leaders from CSBB, other business units, and enterprise teams to drive business change, achieve business unit goals, and contribute to business unit performance. Provide leadership and oversight for execution of the Premier and Branch Banking's Internal Controls function with significant emphasis on risk management, compliance, legal and security
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

As a member of the Premier & Branch Senior Leadership team, responsible for the vision, leadership, communication and oversight of the strategic development of risk framework strategies to include processes, policies, initiatives, and risk and controls.
Serve as point of contact for all risk management and governance activities and lead a team of risk management professionals that are responsible for executing on day-to-day risk management activities for aligned business such as supporting RCSA activities, process mapping, control identification, documentation, and providing evidence for testing requests, partnering to establish and monitor KRIs, issues and events management, change risk assessments; enterprise technology, Third Party, and Compliance Risk Program Support Activities .
Assist in business line management with identifying, assessing, controlling, mitigating, and communicating risks associated with business processes and decisions for assigned BU. Provide oversight and governance to assigned BU regarding its control environment.
Facilitate activities with Corporate Compliance, Truist Audit Services, regulators and other stakeholders. Assist in facilitation of materials for quarterly regulatory meetings/requests and exam requests.
Ensure all Premier and Branch Banking leaders are aware and accountable to operate within Risk Appetite with adequate adherence and remediation to risk management policies and processes. Promote an internal risk culture that encourages self-identification, promoting various risk initiatives and supporting metrics, and the maturity of various aligned business and risk committees/ councils.
Leads Issue Management and oversees the execution of enterprise-wide Internal Control Reviews (ICR) and proper adherence to internal controls procedures to ensure Premier and Branch operate consistently with a bias towards standardization and the elimination of exception processing thus mitigating the risk.
Deep working knowledge of Premier and Branch Banking policies, processes, and systems to lead the identification and resolution of issues for material and highly complex projects, including managing regulatory and legislative projects on an ongoing basis.
Maintain a strong understanding of external competitive developments and their impact on the Branch and Premier business and strategy.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance or science/academic field, or equivalent education and related training or experience
Fifteen years of experience in financial industry, preferably in Operations or Risk Management related areas.
Broad risk and regulatory knowledge with an emphasis on: Credit, Market, Liquidity, Compliance, Operational, Reputation and Strategic Risks.
Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills, as well as the ability to successfully interact with and influence senior management and staff.
High-level analytical, planning, problem-solving and negotiation skills.
Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office software products.
Thorough working knowledge of bank regulations.
Demonstrate high level of competency in consulting and managing projects, including the creation, conceptualization and execution of multiple large, complex projects requiring the management of multiple resources.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree or equivalent education, training and work-related experience in financial industry, preferably in Operations or Risk Management related areas.
