Staff Accountant

Description We are looking for a motivated Staff Accountant to join our team in Everett, Washington. This is a Contract to permanent position, offering an excellent opportunity for career growth. The ideal candidate will bring strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to managing accounting tasks.

Responsibilities:

Prepare and record accurate journal entries to maintain financial records.

Reconcile general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.

Assist in the preparation of financial reports and statements as required.

Utilize Excel to create and manage spreadsheets, including VLOOKUPs and pivot tables for data analysis.

Collaborate with team members and management to meet deadlines and resolve accounting issues.

Support the transition to new accounting software, including potential implementation of Sage.

Perform regular audits and reviews to maintain the integrity of financial data.

Manage accounts payable and receivable processes with precision and efficiency.

Analyze financial data to identify discrepancies and propose solutions.

Take on additional responsibilities as needed to support the finance team. Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.

Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a staff accountant role, with a progressive career path.

Familiarity with general ledger systems and journal entry processes.

Proficiency in Excel, including VLOOKUPs and pivot tables.

Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to solve problems independently.

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Ability to handle deadlines and prioritize tasks effectively.

Experience with Abila MIP software is preferred.
