Role Overview: Senior Manager, Global Security Operations & Access Control
On-site in Richmond, VA HQ
The Global Security Operations & Access Control Senior Manager will lead a Global multi-functional team at the Richmond Corporate Campus, reporting to the Director of Corporate Security & Safety Operations. This role is critical for ensuring the safety and security of employees, facilities, and assets worldwide, overseeing the Global Security Operations Center (GSOC) while conducting risk assessments, incident response, crisis management, and access control.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership: Inspire and manage a skilled team, fostering a culture of excellence and professional development.
Strategic Vision: Develop and implement the GSOC's strategic vision in alignment with the company's global security strategy.
Operational Oversight: Ensure 24/7 GSOC operations focused on threat detection, incident response, and overall readiness.
Security Protocols: Establishand enforce comprehensive security protocols, integrating the latest global security trends.
Technology Integration: Oversee the implementation of advanced security technologies for proactive threat management.
Crisis Management: Develop and refine crisis management plans for effective handling of critical incidents.
Risk Analysis: Conduct ongoing risk assessments and devise strategies to mitigate emerging threats.
Global Coordination: Collaborate with regional security teams, vendors, and law enforcement to ensure coordinated incident responses.
Program Development: Implement and assess comprehensive security programs to meet industry standards.
Team Development: Mentor and train GSOC staff to upholdhigh standardsin security operations.
Reporting: Provide detailed reports and insights to senior management and clients.
Daily Operations Management: Oversee daily security operations, includingaccess control, surveillance systems, and incident response.
Supervision: Manage security personnel (internal and contractors), providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
Guard Services Oversight: Supervise guard services forall security operations centers.
Policy Development: Develop and enforce security policies and procedures to protect personnel, assets, and facilities.
Security Assessments: Conduct regular security assessments and vulnerability analyses toidentifyand address security gaps.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Work with internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance with regulations andindustry'sbest practices.
Incident Investigation: Coordinate investigations into security incidents, theft, fraud, and breaches of security.
Law Enforcement Relations: Maintainrelationships with law enforcement agencies for enhanced security capabilities and intelligence sharing.
Emergency Response: Respond to security incidents and emergencies, takingappropriate actionsand documentingincidentsas necessary.
Business Continuity: Partner with business units tomaintainsecurity measures for business continuity and disaster recovery.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with IT, HR, Legal, and Facilities to align securityobjectiveswith organizational initiatives.
Audits and Assessments: Conduct regular audits of security controls and processes to ensure compliance and effectiveness.
Security Training: Assistin developing and implementing security awareness training programs for employees.
Technology Development: Support the development and implementation of security technologies and systems.
Industry Awareness: Stay updated on trends, technologies, and regulations in security operations.
Flexible Availability: Work flexible hours and be available on call 24/7 as situationswarrant.
Additional Duties: Perform other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree?required?from an accredited, not-for-profit, in-person college/university.??
A track record?of commitment to prior employers.?
7-10 years of experience in security operations, particularly in managinga GSOCand Access Control.
Proven leadership and strategic planning experience.
In-depth knowledge of security technologies and best practices.
Exceptional problem-solving skills and decision-making abilities under pressure.
Strong communicationand interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Advanced degrees and certifications (e.g., CPP, PSP)preferred.
Experience in GSOC and crisis management training.
Background in intelligence, military, law enforcement, or corporate security.
Proficiencyin security management software and incident reporting tools.
Familiarity with open-source research techniques and social media platforms.
Ability tooperateeffectively in high-stress environments whilemaintainingconfidentiality.
Strong knowledge of physical security systems, access control (Genetec), and video surveillance technologies (Genetec).
Knowledge of emergency response procedures and crisis management protocols.
Investigative knowledge and experience preferred.
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
