Medical Office Assistant

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM

Environment: Physician Practice

We are seeking an experienced and customer-focused Medical Office Assistant to support daily front-office operations within a busy physician practice. The ideal candidate will deliver excellent service to patients, support clinical staff, and help maintain an efficient workflow.

Key Responsibilities

Schedule patient appointments

Answer and triage incoming calls

Greet and check in patients

Perform insurance verification

Provide general administrative support to the practice

Required Skills & Qualifications

3-5+ years of healthcare administrative experience (front desk, medical secretary, scheduling, etc.)

Strong computer skills and customer service abilities

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

Open to Medical Assistants looking to transition into front-office work

Preferred Experience

Experience using EPIC

Experience in Pediatrics

Work Environment

Physician practice setting with consistent weekday hours

Collaborative team focused on patient service and efficient operations

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Abingdon, MD.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $23.00/hr.
