Job Title: Accounts Payable Specialist

Responsibilities

Handle the administrative and clerical needs of the Accounts Payable/Finance Department.

Assist with the processing of accounts payable.

Execute daily processes and controls accurately and in a timely manner, ensuring compliance with company policies.

Provide customer service to internal business partners.

Assist with internal and external audit requirements.

Sort, log, photocopy, and file invoices, checks, and other documents.

Verify, log, and mail checks, including expediting special handling when needed.

Perform special projects as assigned.

Carry out other duties as required.

Essential Skills

High school diploma or equivalent required; Associates or bachelor's degree in accounting preferred.

Understanding of bookkeeping principles and record-keeping procedures.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Accuracy in accounting.

Excellent organizational skills with great attention to detail and the ability to solve problems independently.

Outstanding work ethic, a team player with good listening skills.

Proactive and committed to follow-through.

Proficiency in MS Office, especially Word, Outlook, and Excel.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Proficiency in accounts payable, invoice processing, and purchase order management.

Experience with three-way matching and Epicor software.

Excel proficiency including pivot tables and VLOOKUP.

2-3+ years of relevant experience.

Work Environment

The role is fully onsite in Tustin, within a cubicle setting. The team has a close-knit, family feel, with regular employee lunches every other Wednesday. There is growth potential for learning, including exposure to accounts receivable and collections for those interested.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tustin, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $28.00/hr.
